Redesign of THC Sensor
THC Sensor Ver.3 is a device designed to enable monitoring of plasma torch arc voltage by the Audioms Automatika motion controller in order to realize THC function (Torch Height Control). More closely, the role of the THC Sensor is to adapt arc voltage obtained from a plasma inverter and transfer it in safe and reliable way to the motion controller.
THC Sensor features galvanic isolation of the signal from plasma inverter and two input options are possible: with voltage divide ratio 1:50 or 1:1.
Input circuit of THC Sensor is designed to suppress noise that is present during plasma cutting. Input circuit, output circuit, and also power supply circuit are all galvanically isolated one from each other. Redesigned version of THC Sensor introduce new filters added to prevent input circuit from high voltage peaks from different types of plasma inverters.
